Colon cancer fundraiser – Rosemont, IL
As a colon cancer survivor, Greg Schwem lent his humor to a powerful cause. Greg organized and headlined a fundraiser at the famous Zanies Comedy Club in Rosemont, Illinois. With all proceeds benefiting the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, the show brought together survivors, supporters, and advocates. Blending laughs with heartfelt moments, Greg and two other entertainers who have survived the disease raised awareness and vital funds for research and support. Greg was honored to be part of an evening where comedy helped fuel hope and healing.
Thanksgiving Day with the U.S. Navy – Mt. Prospect, IL
On Thanksgiving morning, Greg shared some laughs with an all female group of naval recruits celebrating the completion of basic training. Greg included plenty of customized jokes about the rigors and thrills of navy boot camp, leading to laughs from not only the recruits but navy veterans as well. What a perfect day to say, “Thank you for your service” to the next generation of officers.


Coca-Cola Bottlers Conference – Atlanta, GA
Greg Schwem delivered a refreshing dose of laughter to the Coca-Cola Bottlers conference. With a blend of sharp insights and workplace humor, Greg connected with the audience in a way that was both energizing and entertaining. It was a fizzy, feel-good event proving once again that comedy pairs perfectly with corporate culture.
Virginia SHRM conference – Virginia Beach, VA
Greg Schwem brought humor and insight to the Virginia Society for Human Resource Management conference. Following Greg’s keynote, he signed copies of his new book, Turning Gut Punches into Punchlines, for HR professionals from across the region. Blending business with comedy, Greg connected with attendees who appreciated both his message and his wit. A memorable moment from 2025 that proves leadership and laughter go hand in hand!


Admiral’s Cove – Jupiter, Florida
Set against the stunning backdrop of one of South Florida’s most exclusive communities, Greg performed at a private 80th birthday celebration for an Admiral’s Cove resident and assorted family members and friends. A perfect blend of sunshine and standup, this was indeed a highlight of 2025!
Celebrating Cancer Survivor Month
June is National Cancer Survivor Month. While sailing around Europe and performing stand-up comedy aboard the Celebrity Apex cruise ship, Greg invited fellow survivors to the stage for a group photo and a group hug. Using comedy to connect and uplift, Greg shared stories with those who’ve faced the same fight. The event was more than just a show; it was a celebration of survival, strength, and the community that makes healing possible.


Greg’s tour guide side hustle
When he’s not on stage, Greg Schwem takes his storytelling talents to the streets…literally. As a part-time Chicago food tour guide, he mixes history, humor, and a bit of mischief to keep every group entertained. Whether it’s by foot or on bicycles, Greg proves that laughter really is the best way to learn about Chicago’s rich history and culinary delicacies. It’s a side hustle that keeps the punchlines and the people moving!
